People with access: Granting access to specific individuals you want to collaborate with on the file. There are two methods to share content within Google Drive: Important: Only individuals who own U-M content should be in full control of who can access it. This document provides best practices for sharing files and folders in Google Drive. It is your responsibility to appropriately share data with only those who should have access to it. This is especially true when collaborating with people outside of U-M. ITS recommends using caution when you choose permissions for your files and folders in U-M Google Drive to ensure the privacy and security of university data. Note: The breadcrumb isn't available for non-Google files.When you share from Google Drive, you can control whether people can edit, comment on, or view your file. press the Open in AODocs button to open the file in AODocs. click any segment of the path displayed in the header to open the corresponding folder in Google Drive. When you open a file in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides or Drawings you can: Locate Google files in Google Drive with the AODocs SmartbarĪs an AODocs user with the AODocs Smartbar installed, you can locate Google files in the Google editor using the breadcrumb on the top of the screen. The Document details pop-up opens showing the document location, owner, date of creation and date of last modification.
